            The Syrian civil war is causing innocent adults and children to be killed, causing people to evacuate their homes and country, and causing degrading treatment on both sides of the battle. The conflict desperately needs to be controlled. Other countries have the capability to help Syria and stop Assad’s relentless attacks against the Syrian people. America and plenty of other countries have the power to send supplies, troops, and weapons to their country. Even you can make a difference, by donating money/ supplies, or even just by shining light on the situation. The more popularity that the conflict gets, the more likely it is that our country will be willing to get involved and help out. There are websites listed below that you can visit to donate money to the cause.

UNHCR

This organization dedicates their time to finding people to donate specific sums of money to the refugee crisis in Syria. People can choose from $20, $50, $100, and $500 to donate to the cause. People are also permitted to make a tax deductible donation if they choose.

UNOCHA

Your donation will help humanitarian NGOs and UN agencies in Syria to assist the most vulnerable communities affected by sudden onset emergencies and urgently requiring food, water, shelter and other basic needs. Through this rapid and flexible response mechanism your funding can be truly life-saving.

Disasters Emergency Committee
